Q: How do I set up my Osmo?

Q: What do I need to play Osmo games on my compatible iPad and Fire tablets?

To play any Osmo game, you will need:

• A compatible device that’s connected to the internet. Osmo works with most iPads and select Amazon Fire tablets. To confirm that your device supports Osmo, please see compatibility models above. 
• The appropriate Osmo base and red reflector for your device. 
• If you have a compatible Fire tablet, you need an Osmo Fire base & reflector.
• If you have a compatible iPad, you need an Osmo iPad base & reflector. 
• The bases and reflectors are NOT interchangeable between iPads and Fire tablets. All Osmo Kits include a base & reflector, and they are also sold as a separate item on our website or Amazon.com.

Q: Can I use my iPad base to play on my compatible Fire tablet and vice versa?

Q: Do I need to remove my iPad or Fire protective case to play Osmo games?

• Unless you have an Osmo Speck case for iPad, you will need to remove the one you own, including Amazon kid proof case.
• Osmo Speck case for iPad is compatible with iPad Air, iPad Air 2 (*not* Air 3, iPad 5th Gen, iPad 6th Gen, iPad Pro 9.7. We are currently working on a new iPad protective case that will be compatible with iPad 7th Gen.

Q: I purchased the Osmo Speck case for iPad and it’s not working with my iPad base (classic base). Why?

• Osmo Speck case for iPad will only work with the newly designed Osmo iPad base. 

Q: Where can I find the apps?

Q: My individual Osmo game box indicates works with iPad only. I have a compatible Fire tablet. Will the game work with my Fire tablet?

• All of the Osmo games are device neutral and are compatible with most iPad and select Fire tablets (the one exception is our MindRacers game, which is only compatible with iPad). It’s ok if your box indicates it works with iPad only. We printed those before Fire tablets had been released.
• Our base, on the other hand, is device dependent so you must have the iPad base to use with iPad and the Fire base to use with Fire tablet.
