Pizza Science

Help your kids understand why pizza dough rises with this fun experiment. You will need a plastic or glass bottle, 2 tbsp of yeast, 1 tbsp of sugar, 2-3 tbsps of lukewarm water, a party balloon, and a bowl filled with lukewarm water. Stir the separate ingredients into a mixture. and pour it into the bottle. Stretch the balloon over the mouth of the bottle and place the bottle into the bowl of warm water and observe. Within an hour, you will notice how the balloon has inflated due to the yeast!
